Intersema Sensoric SA develops, produces and distributes a wide range of
pressure sensor products for the worldwide consumer, automotive, medical
and industrial markets.
Intersema was founded in October 1998 in Bevaix, Switzerland as a 100%
privately owned company. It started as a result of a Management Buy-Out
of the sensor and hybrid division of Micronas Semiconductor SA.
The development of the sensor technology started in the early 90's in
cooperation with the famous IMT «Institute of Microtechnology» in Neuchâtel
(Switzerland).
Today Intersema's pressure sensor chips, SMD sensors and digital
pressure sensor modules are well known for their superior technology,
the resulting measurement accuracy and long term stability. The
pressure sensors are widely used in watches, flight instruments,
automobiles, home appliances, medical equipment and more.
In 1998 Intersema introduced the world's first digital Pressure Sensor Module MS5534 for mobile applications. In 2000, Intersema developed a Low Pressure Sensor with a unique technology offering small size and the highest output signal used in the latest generation of Pressure Sensor Modules for liquid level applications. Since end of 2002 we also are able to offer media resistive absolute pressure sensors for high volume automotive applications. In 2006 Intersema offers it’s new miniature modules MS5540 and MS5541 with
further improvements in performance in modern outdoor instruments.
The objectives of Intersema's owners and management is to establish Intersema as the world's
leading supplier of high performance pressure sensors.
Substantial investments are being made in Personnel, R&D and
Manufacturing to assure that the customer's highest expectations are met
and to expand the current technology for affordable high-quality pressure sensors.
